After completing my Bachelors of Arts in Human Development at The University of Chicago, I received my clinical training at Columbia University’s School of Social Work in New York City. I was trained comprehensively in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic treatment. I have extensive experience working with people of varying ages and struggling with diverse issues. After training exclusively in outpatient setting with both youth and adults, I began working in psychiatric crisis at North Central Bronx Hospital in New York City. I continued my crisis work in Chicago, at Community Counseling Centers of Chicago; where I continued to facilitate in-patient treatment when appropriate, but also began providing on-going crisis intervention and stabilization to high risk clients struggling with suicidality, homicidality, and psychosis. In addition to proving crisis treatment at Community Counseling Centers of Chicago, I also returned to my work as a long-term therapist, providing individual, couples and family therapy, to clients struggling with a myriad of issues.

I continue to provide individual, couples, and family therapy to clients struggling with a variety of issues in my private practice. While I enjoy working with all people of all backgrounds and ages, I have extensive experience working with individuals with trauma histories, issues with interpersonal relationships, depression, anxiety, and  challenges around underlying identity development.

In addition to my focus on trauma, my personal journey has led me to have a strong passion for supporting individuals living with chronic conditions. Learn more here.

Furthermore, during my academic career I conducted a study, which produced a paper entitled, Camp Rosedale: Self-Confidence and Body-Image during Puberty. The study focused on issues surrounding both identity development and body-image in young women, and the findings continue to inform my practice.

I continue to learn and grow from all my clients, and look forward to working with all people invested in treatment.
